i really feel like a rookie...
if you have PS or anything like it, try changing the layer mode to 'multiply' when you do shadows. I learned it from this tutorial [link]
except for that, thank you so much! i'm kind of a rookie in digital drawing and i had no idea how to do the shading, so you really helped me out with that link... it's great actually.
(anyway... sorry if i'm annoying but i kinda look up to you so... yeah... sorry)
